Pizza

Pizza is one of Italy's most famous meals...and it's really good.

A pizza tastes different if made in a "Pizzeria" or made at home. In the "Pizzeria" the pizza is cooked in a oven heated by firewood at 400°. At home you normally bake it at 180° and it takes ca. 15 minutes instead of just 4.

The dough is very easy to make. You just need flower, yeast, salt and oil and some water. You can just buy some yeast in the shop. But believe me, the best pizza ever can be made if you use the yeast you used to brew your home-brewed-beer. Amazing.
For 5 people use 1 kg of flower, mix 25-50 grams of yeast in a bowl with warm water and a bit of sugar, then add it to the flower. Add salt and a bit of olive oil. Then start to knead the dough. Add water enough to make the dough a unique compound. If the dough is wet, it will grow up more, but you will have problems to make it flat. Put the dough into a bowl, cover it with a piece of cloth and let it grow for 2 hours.
Cut the dough into 4 pieces, then roll them into your desired pizza shape; put it on the baking tray, but before you have to put some oil or some baking paper. Add salt, pepper or pepperoncino and oregano to the chopped tomatoes and cover the pizza with it. Now cut mozzarella into small cubes and put it on the pizza. Now you can just leave it as it is (Pizza Margherita) or you can add whatever you want (ham, salami, peppers, mushrooms, corn, tuna, other kind of cheese...). Put it into the oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes on 180°. Buon appetito!!
